New Arrivals
Claritas notices photos added since you last opened it and lets you review them by day and type, so clutter never builds up.
New Arrivals shows the photos and videos added to your library since you last opened Claritas, grouped by day and type. Reviewing a few new items regularly keeps clutter from building up.
How to use New Arrivals
- When new photos arrive, Claritas shows a "new photos landed" prompt.
- Open New Arrivals to see items grouped by Today and Yesterday.
- Filter by All, Photos or Videos, then delete what you don't need.
Claritas reads the iOS photo library change history to find what is new and keeps a 72-hour window. With notifications on, it can send a local "New photos" reminder when a larger batch (around 20 or more items) arrives.
Background scanning
Claritas uses iOS background tasks to scan new photos incrementally, and can notify you when your cleanable space grows by 250 MB or more. All notifications are local and come from your iPhone, not a server. Pro users can also turn on automatic scanning at launch.
