Trips
Claritas automatically builds trips from your photos' time and location, then helps you tidy each trip by removing blurry or closed-eye frames.
Trips automatically groups your travel photos into trips using when and where they were taken, and names them by place. Inside each trip, "Tidy up frames" points out blurry, closed-eye and low-quality shots so you keep only the best memories.
How to use Trips
- Open Trips to see your trips, named by place.
- Open a trip to browse it day by day.
- Rename the trip or remove photos that don't belong (they stay in your library).
- Tap Tidy up frames to review weak shots and delete the ones you choose.
A trip is a run of at least 12 photos taken 35 km or more from your estimated home area, lasting 1 to 30 days with gaps of no more than two days. Photos without location data that still look like a trip appear under "Possible trips".
To show place names, Claritas sends photo coordinates (never the photos) to Apple's geocoding service.

Frequently asked questions
Does Trips send my location anywhere?
To name places, photo coordinates are sent to Apple's geocoding service. Your photos themselves are never uploaded.
