People groups the photos in your library by the faces in them, using a face recognition model that runs on your iPhone. You can rename people, merge groups, hide someone, or mark yourself, and delete all People data whenever you want.
How to use People
- Open People and read the on-device consent screen.
- Allow Claritas to group faces in your most recent photos.
- Open a person to see their photos; rename, merge or hide them from the menu.
Claritas uses a bundled MobileFaceNet model to describe each face and clusters similar faces together. A person appears once they show up in at least three photos. The analysis covers up to your 2,000 most recent photos.
Menu options: Rename, Merge with…, Hide, This is Me, Scan again and Delete People data.
