Screenshots, Documents & Receipts
Claritas collects your screenshots and finds photos of documents and receipts in your camera roll so you can delete them in bulk.
Claritas gathers every screenshot in your library and also finds camera photos of documents and receipts, each labeled Screenshot, Document or Receipt. Detection runs on-device; any text it reads is used only as a signal and discarded immediately.
How to use Screenshots, Documents & Receipts
- Open the Screenshots & Documents card on Home.
- Check the labels on each tile: Screenshot, Document or Receipt.
- Select the ones you no longer need and tap Delete.
Screenshots are identified by the flag iOS itself sets on them. Documents are found with Vision document segmentation and fast on-device text recognition. Receipts are recognized by currency symbols, words like "total" or "tax", and their tall shape.
Recognized text is only used to measure density and layout. It is never stored or sent anywhere.

Does Claritas read the text in my documents?
Text is recognized on-device only to decide whether a photo is a document or receipt, then discarded. It is not saved or sent anywhere.
