Similar Photos & Burst Series
Claritas groups similar photos taken seconds apart into series and helps you pick the best shot, then deletes the rest.
When you take several photos of the same moment, Claritas groups them into a "series" and suggests the best frame. You pick the keeper and delete the rest in one tap, a fast way to clear dozens of nearly identical shots.
How to use Similar Photos & Burst Series
- Open the Series card on Home to see your burst series.
- Open a series. Claritas marks one frame as Suggested.
- Tap the frame you want to keep.
- Tap "Keep this one · delete N" to remove the other frames.
A series is three or more photos taken no more than about three seconds apart that look similar. Similarity uses the same perceptual fingerprint as duplicate detection, with a wider tolerance, so a series catches small changes in pose or expression that a duplicate check would miss.
Series work for real Burst mode photos and for rapid taps of the shutter button.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between duplicates and similar photos?
Duplicates are copies of the same image. Similar photos are different frames of the same moment, for example a burst of shots where the expression changes slightly.
Can I keep more than one photo from a series?
Yes. The quick action keeps one frame, and you can also select photos manually in the review grid.
