Claritas FAQ

Claritas is a smart gallery assistant for iPhone that helps you use your storage more efficiently. It finds duplicates, similar burst shots, blurry, dark and closed-eye photos, screenshots and documents, large videos and Live Photos, and helps you reclaim storage. All photo analysis happens on your device.

Maybe not. Duplicates, burst shots, screenshots and large videos often take up more space than you'd expect. Claritas shows how much space you could free before you pay for a bigger iCloud plan or a bigger iPhone.

Claritas runs on iPhone with iOS 18 or later.

Claritas is free to download, and browsing every category is free. Free users can delete a limited number of duplicates each day. Claritas Pro, an auto-renewing subscription, unlocks unlimited cleanup in every category plus Pro features like People and watermark-free collages.

No. All photo analysis runs on your iPhone. Your photos are never uploaded to Claritas or to any third party.

Yes. Claritas deletes through iOS, so photos go to the Recently Deleted album in Photos and can be recovered for 30 days.

No. Nothing is pre-selected or deleted without your confirmation.

No. There is no sign-up or login.

The app is available in 29 languages, including English, Turkish, Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified), Arabic and Hebrew.

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Claritas and cancel. You can also open this from Claritas Settings.
